Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Where do you teach?
We primarily offer in-home piano lessons for families in Merrylands, Rouse Hill, and surrounding suburbs. In-home lessons eliminate commute time for busy parents and allow students to learn in a comfortable, familiar environment. This setup is especially beneficial for younger children and families with tight schedules.
Can I have lessons at your studio instead?
Studio availability depends on our current schedule at the time of your inquiry. Please contact us directly to discuss whether a studio lesson is a possibility for you.
What is your current availability?
Our schedule varies by school term and is influenced by your specific location. For the most up-to-date availability and to find a time slot that works for you, please reach out to us.
Do you prepare students for AMEB exams?
Yes. Students at Meadow Music consistently achieve excellent results in both AMEB and ABRSM examinations each year. Our teachers are highly trained, qualified, and experienced in preparing students for these specific syllabus requirements.
How long are the lessons?
We offer 30, 45, and 60-minute lessons depending on the student’s age, level, and goals.
How much do you charge per lesson?
Lesson fees are $50 for 30 minutes, $70 for 45 minutes, and $90 for 60 minutes.
Do I need to have a piano at home?
Yes, as regular practice between lessons is essential for progress. We recommend having a well-maintained acoustic piano or a high-quality digital piano (with 88 weighted keys) at home before beginning lessons.
Do I need to purchase my own books?
We aim to make things easy for you! We can select and purchase the appropriate music books on your behalf. Additionally, your lesson fees include supplementary learning materials used during class.
What age do you start teaching?
We generally welcome students from age 4 and up. For younger children, we focus on play-based musical exploration to build a strong foundation.
